Emily is a Shakespeare consultant, text coach, and an award-winning playwright and director.
Trained and mentored by Giles Block (Head of Text at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre), her productions for Shakespeare’s Globe include The Tempest (Dir. Jeremy Herrin); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Dir. Dominic Dromgoole); and King Lear (Dir. Bill Buckhurst). She is text coach for the National Youth Theatre company. Productions as text and voice coach include Romeo and Juliet for the Ambassadors Theatre (Dir. Katy Hewitt); The Tempest for Royal & Derngate (Dir. Caroline Steinbeis).
She was Head and Chair of the prestigious Poel Event - an annual Shakespeare training course for professional actors at the National Theatre run by top industry practitioners including Ian McKellen, Greg Doran, Jeremy Herrin, Timothy West Barbara Houseman and Jeannette Nelson.
She teaches Shakespeare at Lamda and is a text and verse lecturer at Northampton University.

Writer Under commission for the Haymarket Theatre West end. Emily is currently developing a play with Masterclass and Kidscape as part of their CyberScene project to combat Cyber bullying.
